Description
Online Postnatal Physiotherapy Class
To enjoy your new baby and be comfortable doing the work of mothering, you need to feel physically up to the job, but recovering is not always easy when you have a little one to look after. In this interactive class, our facilitator Renée focuses on your postnatal recovery. Her holistic and interconnected approach will provide you with valuable information about what falls within the normal range of recovery and what doesn’t, and when to seek further professional support.
Topics covered:
- The core – your pelvic floor, abdominals, diaphragm and back
- Returning to exercise – why this is important, things to look out for, and overcoming obstacles
- The physical demands of parenting – managing and preventing pain and discomfort
- How to prioritise your recovery so that you can restore your normal physical wellbeing
There will also be opportunities to ask questions specific to your recovery.
Renée is a private practice physio who has a special interest and training in pregnancy and postnatal physiotherapy. She also holds a Master of Health Science, for which she researched the ergonomic factors associated with caring for children.
