Chris joined the Parents Centre Board in November 2020, acting as a Board member and subsequently as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

He was voted in as Chair of the Parents Centre NZ and Parents Centre Aotearoa Trust Boards in February 2023, continuing to serve on the Audit and Risk Committee.

His governance experience is extensive, as a board member, treasurer and chair of charitable organisations in the education sector in his home town, Nelson.

Chris also has significant experience in retail banking, including operations, leadership, coaching and mentoring and continues to work in the financial services sector, specialising in retail credit risk.

He has two small children and has worked hard to set himself up so that he can spend the most time possible with them, including being a full time Dad for the first two and a half years of his son’s life.  How we engage with Dads as part of antenatal and postnatal education is a key focus for Chris, particularly where Dad is the primary carer.

For Chris, Parents Centre Aotearoa is perfectly positioned to support informing and connecting whole families, including Dads, through the journey of bringing a new pēpe into the world.
