Seeking a trustee with finance expertise to join our dedicated board

Parents Centre Aotearoa is a vital organisation in Aotearoa and has been a proud part of our community for over 70 years. We are actively recruiting to fill the vacancy of one Trustee/Independent Director for a two-year term with the option to extend.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who brings governance experience and finance expertise to the table. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management and the skills to lead our audit and risk committee effectively, as this role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and strategic direction of our organisation. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and who can contribute to the long-term success of Parents Centre Aotearoa. If you have the expertise and are ready to take on this rewarding challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Mō te Parents Centre Aotearoa: About Parents Centre Aotearoa
In more than 60 communities across Aotearoa, we are dedicated to supporting parents with up-to-date and evidence-based information, education and social connections during the crucial first 1000 days. The early years are pivotal for a child’s development and a key determinant of positive lifelong outcomes in physical and mental health as well as education attainment, employment, financial wellbeing, and community engagement.

Our Tirohanga Whānau/Vision is that every child in Aotearoa reaches their potential, through our Whai Take/Purpose of informing, connecting and engaging whānau. Our commitment to our Nga Mātāpono/Values of Kaitiakitanga, Kotahitanga, and Manaakitanga ensures we advocate for and support positive outcomes for parents and whānau.

Parents Centre Aotearoa is in the process of transitioning from an incorporated society to a charitable trust. From April 2024, the full operations and activities of Parents Centre New Zealand Incorporated have been consolidated under the Parents Centre Aotearoa Charitable Trust, allowing our National Support Centre to streamline the management and support of all local Parents Centre communities.
